Because your child matter you and your child matters to God – Your child is a top priority to every leader who serves in The Journey Church Children’s Ministry!
Your Child’s safety is our first priority at The Journey Church! Each Journey Church volunteer must pass a background check, and complete an extensive training before being allowed to volunteer with your children. We also have a trained security team who protects the children’s area. A security tag system is used, as well, for child check-in and pick-up to let workers know if your child has allergies or special needs, and to whom they belong.
Your child is important to us. On your first visit, we need the following personal information: parent/legal guardian names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for each child. This information is entered into our Journey Church database to help maintain our secure check-in system.
Once your child enters into Adventure Kids it is time to go on a journey of their own. In Adventure Kids children sing upbeat and fun songs, learn scripture and have a lesson each week straight from the Bible, participate in games and crafts and are explained the Gospel.
The wife of the founding pastor, Kelli Egan is the director of our Children’s Ministry, Adventure Kids. Kelli has a degree in early child development from Texas Tech and was an elementary teacher before she decided to teach her own children and homeschool. Kelli is sure that each child has a safe yet fun environment for all ages and has a passion to see children thrive and grow into what God has called them to be.
